Privacy Policy

At DevToolHub, we believe that your data is exactly that—yours. This Privacy Policy outlines our uncompromising approach to data security, how our tools operate, and what limited information is collected when you visit our website. Last updated: March 2026.

The Short Version: Zero Data Collection

All tools on DevToolHub process your data locally in your web browser. Your files, text snippets, JSON payloads, passwords, and other inputs are never sent to our servers. We do not have a database of user files, we do not have server logs of your code, and we cannot see what you type or upload. Our architecture guarantees your privacy by design.

Understanding Client-Side Processing

Every utility on DevToolHub operates entirely within the sandbox of your device's web browser using JavaScript and standard HTML5 Web APIs.

Because the processing happens on your machine, no network requests containing your sensitive data are ever made to a DevToolHub server. This is a deliberate technical barrier ensuring we are physically incapable of intercepting your information.

Data We Do Not Collect or Store

To be absolutely clear, DevToolHub does not collect, store, log, transmit, or process any of the following:

Data Retention & Local Storage

Because we do not collect your tool inputs or outputs, our server-side data retention policy for user data is zero seconds. Once you close your browser tab, any temporary data held in your computer's active memory (RAM) by the web page is instantly destroyed by your browser.

We may occasionally use your browser's Local Storage or IndexedDB strictly to save your UI preferences—such as dark mode toggles, layout configurations, or recently used tool settings. This preference data remains strictly on your local hard drive and is never transmitted to us or any third parties. You can easily clear this data at any time via your browser's standard history or privacy settings.

Security Measures

Even though we do not handle your data on our servers, we still enforce strict security measures. DevToolHub is served exclusively over a secure HTTPS connection (TLS/SSL). This encryption ensures that the Javascript tool scripts you download to your browser cannot be tampered with or intercepted by a malicious third party (Man-in-the-Middle attacks) while you are on public Wi-Fi or corporate networks.

Analytics and Third-Party Services

To understand how developers use our site and to guide our future tool development, we use Google Analytics (GA4). This service collects anonymised, aggregate usage data, which includes basic page views, session durations, browser types, and approximate geographic regions (at the country or city level). Google Analytics does not capture what you type into the tools.

We also display advertisements served by Google AdSense to fund the hosting and operation of this free service. Google AdSense and its third-party vendor network may use cookies and similar web beacons to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to our website or other websites across the internet. This ad-serving process is controlled entirely by Google's advertising policies.

Cookies & Opting Out

DevToolHub itself does not set any native, first-party tracking cookies. The only cookies present on our site are third-party cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

You have the right to opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. You may also configure your browser settings to block all cookies entirely; doing so will not affect the core functionality of any DevToolHub utility.

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA)

Under global privacy frameworks like the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users have the right to access, correct, port, and delete their personal data. Because DevToolHub operates strictly client-side and does not create user accounts, collect email addresses, or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to export or delete upon request. Your privacy is inherently protected because we hold nothing to disclose.

Children's Privacy

DevToolHub provides highly technical utilities intended for use by software developers, designers, and IT professionals. Our services are not directed at, nor do we knowingly collect any information from, children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy periodically to reflect new tools, changing legal requirements, or adjustments to our third-party services. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date at the top. We encourage you to review this page occasionally to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
